Christian why is the church so dead? Why are you so dead?

A Call To Anguish

Where is your anguish for the sad state of your Christianity and the church? Where is your torn heart, your broken heart from your true repentance? Where is that brokenness, prostrate before God, weeping, wailing in your solitude. Begging for a touch from God! Begging for the church to be born again, to awaken from it's near death experience.
David Wilkerson calls anguish, extreme pain and distress, with emotions so stirred that it becomes painful. Acutely felt, inner pain, because of conditions around you or in you. Anguish, deep pain and sorrow, the agony of God's heart.

I look at today's church and I want to vomit. I cry when I think about the church, because today's American churches are all about entertainment, music, dancing ballet with scarves, video music clips, funny skits, pastor jokes, and the well dressed soloist who receives our many applause.
It's 30 minutes of entertainment for the Church of the Living Me. It's really all about us, isn't it? It's a culture of entertainment and getting that spiritual high for an hour so now  you say you're set for the week, right? Now you can put your Bible on the shelf and forget about His will for 6 days until we return to the house of spiritual entertainment. We're so blind spiritually that we don't even realize that the Lord's day is the 7th day, Saturday. No, we reserve that day for shopping, cleaning the house, watching sports on the brainwashing box or mowing the lawn. We care not to obey His command to keep the seventh day holy.
All week you care nothing for the things of God. You don't pray, you don't teach your children to pray, nor do you have daily devotions with them. You just don't have the time, you're just way too busy.
But you do have time for hours of garbage on TV don't you? Hours of sports, cooking shows, detective shows, on and on. All worthless garbage. Hours on the Internet, on video games, all garbage. But no time for God.
You say these things are true, that the church must repent, but I have heard that all before. Is any of it real?
Have you looked within to see the poor state of your spirit? Do you have what it takes to suffer God's anguish?

Warning! Warning! Warning!

In Matthew 24 Yeshua warned believers numerous times to beware and watch, not falling into deception. He knew Satan’s diabolical plan of deception against us. Let's remember the Loser is a brilliant strategist, a lot smarter than you or I! He wants the brethren to be caught off guard, unprepared, weak and defenseless. He wants us fat, lazy, and whining, rich with worldly stuff to steal our time and energy away from our walk with Him and our duty of evangelism. He wants us to believe we are citizens of this world when we are not. Filled with religion but weak in the Spirit Satan wants us shaking in our boots, with faltering faith, freaking out and cowering when he suddenly strikes.
In Matt 24:4-5, He warns, "And Jesus answered and said to them, "See to it that no one misleads you. For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and will mislead many." Again in verse 11, "Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many." And in verse 23-25, "Then if anyone says to you, 'Behold, here is the Christ,' or 'There He is,' do not believe him. For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect. Behold, I have told you in advance."

America has it's share of false prophets. THESE IMPOSERS ARE THE JUDGMENT OF GOD ON US!!!

They are great game-players to the ignorant, actors to those desiring to be entertained and deceivers, robbing widows, thieving money-grubbers who claim that God's blessings can be bought with a price. Woe to them! Woe to their followers! They tickle ears with promises of mega bucks from a God that pays back with compounded interest. Their television stage is a theater of tricks and emotions and the foolish, the unlearned and greedy flock to their shows. Run from these false brethren. Jan Crouch

In the 70Th Week of Daniel, the last seven years of time, I believe there will come great delusions of a satanically possessed savior of the world who will convince billions of unbelievers of all nations. He will appear to exhibit tremendous supernatural powers, but in truth Satan will be the invisible performer. Most of us can be a bit prideful, believing we are good judges of character and can spot a liar from 40 yards, but unbelievers will be no match for the illusions of Satan and his anti-christ. If seeing holograms amazes you now, just wait for Satan’s mind-blowing hologram light show in the world’s skies!

Cruisin' through life or are you preparing for the spiritual superstorm?

Noah prepared for approximately 100 years. For 100 years he warned the people to repent, he and his family built the ark, prepared food and other essential human needs, prayed and watched for God's coming. Then God said to Noah in Gen 7: 4, "For after seven more days, I will send rain on the earth." Noah had been told to prepare, to receive the animals, and to load up the ark, that they had "seven days" left before the wrath of God was unleashed. The Bible says God closed the door, and Noah's family was sealed inside the ark, going through the tribulation of those days, but kept from the wrath as Noah had obeyed God and prepared for the event. Before the raindrops began to fall, the godless were carrying on with the every day activities of life, eating, drinking, and celebrating marriages, oblivious to the destruction that was about to suddenly overtake them. When the first raindrop fell, where rain had never fallen before, it was then that they knew, that crazy boat builder Noah, preparing for God's wrath, wasn't so crazy after all.

Unbelievers live in blindness and denial, even when the signs are glaring, most continue as always before, they are as walking zombies, constantly moving but going nowhere.
As we see the end time approaching we are to be wise in the ways to prepare for the calamities to come as ready soldiers for Christ.
There will be scoffers saying that the time is not at hand. 2 Peter 3:4, said, "Where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all continues just as it was from the beginning of creation." But those with spiritual eyes can see the horsemen coming from afar, and hear their storming hoof beats. We are sons of light, with spiritual eyes that see the signs of the times, the tribulation. God is telling us that this time of sorrows and suffering shall come and we are told to watch, pray and be prepared.

The most important investment we can make in these end times isn’t in gold or stocks, bonds or cash. The most prudent investment for the future tribulation is in godly living, pouring over the scriptures, effectual prayer, fasting, singing praises, fellow-shipping, ministry work, and evangelism. As we face these last days, we must make choices, choices whether or not to heed Yeshua’s warnings and prepare body, mind and spirit for the sufferings and tribulations to come, just as God's Beloved Noah did with his family for a hundred years.

We Desperately Need A Battle Cry!
The enemy is at the door and our time is short. Now is the time to move to action, "while it is still day." Let this be our cry, "Today is the appointed day of salvation." Will you commit to be that soldier for Christ? Brethren do you have true faith, an active faith to serve your King?

And The Gates Of Hell Shall Not Prevail

In Communist North Korea, Pastor Kim and 27 of his flock lived in an underground hole they had dug out with their bare hands, hiding themselves from atheist government soldiers. These believers weren't willing to give up their praise and worship nor their Bible studies and fellowship, so they chose to hide forever, living in poverty , hunger and hardship to escape the punishment of prison in the undisputed most torturous, hideous prison in the world, North Korea.
One day while building a road, a communist soldier discovered their hiding place. The soldiers dragged the 28 believers to the village of Gok San. There they were to be put on public trial before a crowd of 3,000 Koreans, who were forced to participate in the viewing of Korean justice, as was the law, even to this day.
The believers were commanded to publicly deny Christ or face death. The pastor, the mothers and fathers, even the children stood in silence. The officer turned and smiled softly at the little ones and then ordered these four little children to be brought to him. Looking at them, he ordered the soldiers to place nooses around their necks. He then asked the parents if they were now ready to deny Jesus or ready to watch their children swing from a noose. The parents stood in immovable silence. As their limp little bodies began to swing before their eyes, the parents then called out to them, "We will see you in heaven!"
The officer, now fuming, yelled to a soldier, commanding him to bring a steamroller to him for their execution. He ordered the believers to lie on the road. It seemed like an eternity waiting for that steamroller to arrive. Suddenly there was the sound of distant rumbling, the crushing sound of the steamroller pulverized all in its path. "Recant! the officer screamed, "This is your last chance, recant!" A holy silence filled the air, as thousands witnessed the inhumane terror that awaited them. As the soldier drove the steamroller to the first believer's feet suddenly, voices began to sing, "More love to Thee! O Christ, more love to Thee. Thee alone I seek, more love to Thee!" Let sorrow do it's work, more love to Thee, Then shall my latest breath whisper Thy praise, This be the parting cry my heart shall raise, More love, O Christ, to Thee." The hideous sounds of crushing bones were drowned out by the sweetest praises on Earth as 3,000 villagers witnessed matchless courage and faith unshakable. That day heaven shook! As you wipe away your tears, think of their unwavering love to serve the only One that matters.
Jesus said when an act of kindness shown to the least of all men, the poor, the addicted, the destitute, the homeless, the elderly, the infirmed, the drunkard, the orphan, the runaway, the widow, the handicapped, the abused, the prisoner, the rejected, what men call the drudges of the earth, "You do it to Me." Loving hands is a witness of God's love. The Lord said in Psalms, "With loving-kindness I have drawn you."
It's easy to be kind and thoughtful to friends and co-workers, esp. while others are viewing your generosity and caring. Try walking down an alleyway and picking up a destitute, nameless human being, wipe his tears, feed him, cloth him, remove his burden, and then don't tell anyone you did it. Jesuspeak.

Jesuspeak, Can You Dig It?

I recently read a story by Tom White of "Voice of the Martyrs" about a Christian man who had lead many Muslims to the Lord. Tom wanted to speak with him and write a story about him and see if VOM could help him in his great ministry and so he planned a three-day trip. When he got there he met with the man and his wife and several other believers. He began his interview asking him how he led so many people to the Lord. He wanted to know what great words he said to show these Muslims the Lord Jesus. The man said, that he shared with them about the love of Jesus, and that was all he said. Surely there was more Tom thought. But the man sat there not saying anymore. The interview became a bit agonizing for Tom as the man answered most of Tom's questions with a few words." He's not much of a talker," one friend interjected. After many questions and a lot of frustration, puzzled by his obvious lack in communication skills Tom thanked the man and decided to end the interview. Early the next morning Tom came back to the house with some believers but the man wasn't there. His wife said a neighbor's well had run dry and he had come to ask her husband to help him dig a new well. All morning long Tom waited for the man to return. As the hottest part of the day came, Tom decided to walk to the neighbor's land and there he found, dripping in sweat, the Christian man alone digging the well. "Even while they are resting, he is still digging. He is a good worker isn't he?" said a Christian brother.
This was a living picture of the gospel of love. This man, with every shovel full of dirt was saying, “ Jesus loves you, Jesus cares for you.” When he was finished digging his neighbor's well, do you think he told him about the living water that he needed to drink?
Do you think that Muslim neighbor told him to go away with his foolish message of the love of Jesus?

This is how he led so many Muslims to believe, not with eloquent words but with a shovel, and the armor of God.
Brethren are your hands blistered, swollen and hurting and your shovel nearly worn out or is it shiny and new? Do you Jesuspeak?

Will you be that bridge to salvation to that one?

That one, that needs to hear you say, "If only you could know His love."

Will you walk them across the bridge to eternity?

If not you, ... who? Who?

Phil3: 14, says, Paul said, "I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." Is a life spent serving God a "prize" to you? Is it a high calling? Or does the thought of spending your life as His servant seem boring and unappealing, too miserable of work? Would you miss out on all the fun good things in life, the worldly prizes, and the excitement of life? Or are you fearful or embarrassed of what others may say when you preach the gospel? Phil 3:14 says, Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. Or will you say, " For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek." Gal 1:10, asks, "For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ."
Tell me brother; what's your excuse for not witnessing to your co-workers? Is it just not a convenient time?
Eph 6:10 says, "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girded about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;"

Called to be Jesusfreaks.
These are the soldiers of Christ. You know them, Corrie Ten Boom, Len Ravenhill, Paul Washer, Richard Wurmbrant, Brother Andrew, William and Catherine Booth, David Wilkerson, John Newton, Amy Carmichael, Martin Luther, John Wesley, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Dr. Francis Schaeffer, Charles Finney, Dwight L. Moody, Billy Sunday, Watchman Nee, John Wycliffe, Hudson Taylor, Andrew Murray, Oswald Chambers, John Huss, William Tyndale, John Foxe, Francis Bacon, Abigail Adams and battlefields more. These spiritual giants all shared a passion for Christ; they counted the cost and enlisted in God's army.
Are you passionate for Christ? Are you willing to enlist knowing there's no mandatory draft? Are you dressed for spiritual warfare or for a walk in the mall? The things that separate these valiant soldiers and the Laodicean Church are godly living, availability, passion for Christ and a desire to save souls.
You may say, "I can't be a Corrie Ten Boom or a Francis Schaeffer." But you would be wrong. God isn't interested in your ability but your availability. Yield to the Holy Spirit and you will become the prized jewel of God.

Bringing glory to His holy name......

Is there any greater goal on Earth?

Excerpts from "Prepare Before All Hell Breaks Loose!"

What Ever Happened To Christ's Church In America?

It's now two minutes to midnight and Laodicean believers are chillin' on the couch.
Genesis 1:6 says, "The Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart." I never really understood this verse, as well as I do now, as I see the state of the Church, the "Church of the Living Me," the sorry state of God's "laborers."
Reality of the cross   Len Ravenhill
Brethren, you have a choice, you can either be that Watchman on the Wall, that Soldier for Christ, or the Handmaiden of the Lord, guarding over men's souls, or you can grab a Coke, a bag of Doritos and the remote. Of course, not all believers grab a bag of Doritos, some like popcorn. It doesn't matter the stumbling block, they're all the same, the video game /television/ movies entertainment god, drug god, greedy workaholics, alcoholics, pornoholics, hobby and amusement gods, internet junkies, sports gods, material girls, gambling addicts, exercise-aholics, false gods all, all dead.

"A Call to Anguish" by David Wilkerson  If this video doesn't stir you NOTHING will.

Occupy until I return

Once upon a time a man named Joe went to see his dear old friend Joshua, a wheat farmer. Joshua was found sitting alone on his front porch, solemnly gazing at his  whited fields, a tear streaming down his cheek. What's wrong Josh? Hanging his head down he said softly, "I can't tell you the price I've paid to get this crop to harvest. I've given it my all, I've poured my sweat and tears into this crop Joe, and now comes the time to reap, to gather in the great harvest and for all my laboring and sacrifice I can't find workers to go out into the fields to reap the harvest. Worse yet, there are ominous clouds forming, we're about to have a killer storm. I called all my workers and told them that now is the time for the harvest and that I desperately needed them. Tom said he had a golf tournament, Jessica was going to exercise class, and Keisha was getting her nails done. Steve said he was watching a football game, Tyrone was washing his BMW,  Kyoo Hee was barbecuing with friends, and Miriam was going window-shopping in the mall. Window-shopping in the mall Joe! Yeah, they all gave their real good reasons! I told them it was urgent, that I was desperate for their help. I told them that I only needed them for a short time, and that I would richly reward them in due time, but even though I begged, they still said they were too busy. The crops are rotting in the field Joe, my harvest is perishing, and all will be lost. Joe leaned over and placed his hands on  Joshua's shoulders, "You can count on me Joshua. I know only one can't get the job done but I can bring in some of the harvest. I'll do whatever God gives me the strength to do."

The Gospel of Extreme Importance

The "Great Commission," what believer doesn't know it? “Jesus said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Jesus said to "go"
Are you going on the battlefield with your KJV guide, or are you going on the couch with your TV guide?
Do you feel honored to be given The Great Commission, the tough work of preaching the gospel or are you like the weak, self-centered Laodicean believers, loathing the idea?  Be honest. Be honest with yourself.
You may wonder why you're still waiting for your calling from God, why you don't hear His voice. Perhaps the reason God doesn't bring you His important work, is because you're too weak, too pampered to be on His cross. Perhaps He can't trust you will His precious pearls!
Brethren let me ask you, are you strong enough to carry the burdens He has for you?
They say "there's room at the cross." Forget room at the cross,  being a believer means there's room on the cross! So get on it.
Brethren do these words convict you?
Are you ready to repent and change, not for a day or a week, but for forever, not promising to do anything, but promising to do everything? Are you ready to pray, "I'm so sorry my Lord for all the years of neglecting the cross and crowns you would have for me to possess? I've squandered my God given precious time on the garbage of this fallen world. I take up my orders now as a soldier for Christ. Do with me whatever you will. Tear my heart in two Father. Crush me to bring forth a fragrance for the Almighty. I'm in desperate need of a Holy Spirit invasion. Force me to drink of the bitterness of my wretched life, to taste it's putrid results. to break me Lord. Sift me like wheat Father. Bring me through the fire, to refine my heart. Make me like You! I want you Lord! I bow before you a spiritual cripple, a pauper. Take me Oh great Potter, and with nail pierced hands mold me to be a worthy vessel. "No more vain offerings will I bring, sacrificing this world's pleasures, to serve my King. Every heart beat, every breath, I give Jesus all, until the moment of death!"
Go after God until you get Him! Run, run to Him! Run!
But if you plan to walk with God be ready to walk alone, to have the world and the weak believers throw rocks at you.You will be sneered at and all the believing dwarfs will criticize you saying, "You are trying to be holier then the rest of us huh? C'mon, coast on brother, take it easy." Run from that church, get away as fast as you can!

Brethren we are God's ambassadors of the gospel of reconciliation.
In 2 Corn 5:18 God tells us we have been given a ministry of reconciliation. So why are we waiting around to hear from God, to discover "His will," His ministry for our lives? Is this not it?

"And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God."
Luke 10 2-4, "Therefore said he unto them, the harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth laborers into his harvest.

Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves. Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes: and salute no man by the way."
How sad, that our precious Redeemer, knowing He was about to be tortured and die the cruelest death, knew that only a handful of laborers would be willing to spend their time telling of His tremendous suffering and sacrifice.

Only a handful of believers would be interested in keeping their fellow man from hell. It seems so ungodly to allow someone to go to hell and not do a single thing about it.
He paid such a precious price and now He can hardly persuade but a few, to tell of it, to reap the reward of His suffering, to proclaim His great act of love. How ungrateful we are.... how pathetic we are!
We see in Luke how Yeshua wasn't holding anything back. He knew that He was sending them into a world of wolves. He acknowledged their fight. He also told them not to worry about money or clothes, that God would take care of them, His dedicated servants, and provide for all their needs.
"Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:
for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Matthew 6:30-33
He told them not to waste time, dilly dallying in the world, even stopping to "salute," chat and small talk, when the gospel of extreme importance needed to be preached...time is short man, people are dying, let's go, let's go, let's go!
Christian, don't dare think for a minute that the God that told them to trust in Him for everything is not the same God today.
Can you possibly fathom that the Holy One, who loved you to death, would not provide for your needs if you chose to deny your life's plans and enlist to do battle in His name?
Now stop,.... turn and tell Satan to "Shut up!" because I know he's standing behind you trying to instill doubt of God's love and His faithfulness. "Satan, you're a liar and The Defeated One! I pray the Lord rebuke you."

John 4:35 says, "... behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest."
Brothers, sisters, the Lord said "lift" up your eyes because the harvest is like a field that goes on and on as far as the eye can see.
Can you see the ocean of unbelievers?
Can you see them drowning?
Or can you not see past your wide-screen? What if believers spent equal time witnessing as they do reading their emails? Millions would be saved in day. Will you obey our Lord? Or should I first be asking, is He your Lord?
1 Corn 15:58, "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord." Col. 3:1-5, “If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of Christ. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.”

What is your life work in the Lord?

Does God want us to dedicate our life working for the things of the world?  Anointing!

Are we to drive a bus or to preach the gospel, to be a bank teller or an ambassador for Christ? Are we to sell shirts or preach reconciliation? What does it profit men that you sell them a shirt? Let the world sell them a shirt, you obey The Great Commission. They cannot preach because they do not know,....but you know. Therefore go!

Of course there are times that worldly occupations are God's will. The Lord may choose to use us in a particular workplace to serve Him, a doctor, a nurse in Africa, an engineer to drill a well, pastors, teachers, etc. I know God used me in nursing for a season to lead many sick and dying patients to Christ. But if the harvest there dries up, move on to more fertile ground. The ones who see their home as heaven, their God as Father and their family as the brethren, they will focus on "Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done."

They are busy about their Father's business, and not busy in the world's empty affairs.

Brothers and sisters let me ask you:

Are you willing to work God's fields, denying the fields of your choice?

Are you willing to give up your financial security and live by faith?

Are you willing to deny your worldly dreams and ambitions?

Are you willing to deny your career, financial goals, and retirement goals if He asked?

Are you willing to even give up that house, second car or padded savings account if He asked?
Are you willing to be poor if He asked?

Are you willing to deny your worldly pleasures, entertainment, sports, games, music in exchange for prayer and service?

You see, being a Christian isn't so easy if you are a dedicated Christian.

Pastors are you willing to preach the uncompromising truth of the Bible?

Are you willing to tell your flock to get out of the pews and "do" something for Jesus?

Are you willing to take a cut in your salary to send more native missionaries on the field?

Are you willing to change the financial structure of the church budget and give 50% of the tithes to evangelism? Not to sponsor "mini vacations" for elders, spending four or five thousand dollars on a "missions" trip, many times wasting God's money, as if your work is so much more important that a native missionary couldn't do what you do. But to spend it on indigenous missionaries which need one twentieth the amount of money a year as a US missionary trip.

Pastors are you willing to give up the next building project, air conditioning, plush carpeting, choir robes, and Sunday flowers to spend that money on missions? Why do you spend thousands of dollars on flowers when children are starving to death?
Pastors are you willing to pray and fast for weeks with the flock to turn your church around?

Pastors are you willing to repent of your squeamishness to criticize the godless behavior of husbands and father's who neglect instructing their wives and children in the scriptures and refuse to be the spiritual head of the family?
Are you willing to correct ungodly women who are busybodies, gossips, and ignore their children's spiritual instruction for a worldly career?

Are you willing to admonish teenagers who dress like the world and play video games for hours and spend countless hours on the Internet, but have no time for scripture studies?
Are you willing to admonish parents who's children are placed in the government's humanistic public schools, which teach evolution as fact, sex education and remove God's Ten Commandments and any discussion of God or  the Bible and encourage them to home-school or place them in Christian schools for their spiritual preservation? A Call to War

Pastors are you willing to stand with the church to lobby the government to stop abortion now?

Pastors are you willing to be fired for the bold stand to clean house?  Or do you worry that God won't provide for you if you do and get fired? If so, then you don't know Him!

Brethren are you willing to be under Satan’s radar for a host of heated spiritual attacks?
Are you willing to be made fun of, ridiculed, mocked, lied and gossiped about, called names, cursed, screamed at, laughed at and ostracized?  If so, you're in good company, they did all these things to your Savior. Are you willing to pick up your cross and follow Him? Matt. 16:24, "Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me." Did Jesus say he MUST deny Himself? Why would He say, "must"? Those who are truly born again, walking in His Spirit WILL follow Him. Those who are merely playing church won't, it's as simple as that!

Those who are so out of touch to the point that they can't relate to carrying a cross may want to rethink their salvation. Did you really come to faith in Christ? Are you truly transformed? Do you desire to abandon all to serve Him Who you claim is the Lord of your life?
Amy Carmichael, a missionary to India who helped  young children escape who were forced to act as temple sex slaves said these words,

"No wound, no scar?
How can it be?
For pierced are the feet that follow Me.
But thine are whole. Can he have followed far who has no wound nor scar?”

Amy lived for her Redeemer. She knew the price of denying self. She walked her own Via Dolorosa on the streets of India, saving approximately 1000 children from temple prostitution. Promising her life to Christ, Amy never married. At 64 she fell and became crippled, spending her remaining 20 years writing 13 books. In 55 years of service she never once took a furlough from mission work!

 "And you shall

love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul and all your strength."

Brethren write these words on your heart,
“God is of no importance unless He is of extreme importance."

Denying Self In The Face Of Death
Deep in the dense woods of the Soviet Union stood a small abandoned wooden cabin obscured by the trees. It was illegal to attend religious gatherings in the Soviet Empire in those days. Believers would sneak into the forest in the middle of the night and walk several miles in the darkness of night, with no lanterns to guide their way, as they tried to keep their gathering place a secret from the KGB. They would finally reach the little cabin church as the sun began to rise in the morning sky.
One Sunday morning, two Soviet soldiers suddenly burst into the once hidden church and then methodically lined the worshipers against the cabin wall. Holding his gun close to a believer’s head he angrily screamed, "Don't you know worshiping God is illegal? The punishment is death!” Then suddenly his countenance changed. He looked down at a young boy quivering in fear, he half smiled and said to him softly and gently, “If you've come here by accident and didn't intend to break the law, then you may leave now and don't ever come back."
About half the people quickly scurried from the church, and into the forest. The soldiers took aim at the rest and one soldier in an enraged voice screamed, "So, are you Christians? Are you willing to die for your faith?” No one moved. They stood firmly planted. The soldiers looked at each other, put down their weapons and then one soldier turned to the other and said, "Good! Now we know it's safe to worship here." ANON
The faith filled believers stood firm for Jesus. Eph. 6:13, says, “Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” Christian, can you truly say you would have been left standing?
Persecution isn't always as harsh as torture and death but it can be extremely trying on one's soul. I remember when I was a 21 year old nursing student, carrying my Bible wherever I went on campus. I witnessed to students, mostly strangers, every single day. Fellow nursing students laughed at me openly, making jokes about me, and many ostracized me in class and during the hospital training. It was tough carrying that Bible and the message.of salvation. One night I was at a Bible study sitting at a table with believers and commented on the persecution I was dealing with at the college. A bewildered and annoyed brother whined, "What persecution? I've never been persecuted for being a Christian. What are you doing to cause that?" Leaning towards him I quietly asked, "Do people at your work know you're a Christian? His answer was, "No." You see, this brother's lamp was hidden under a bushel, no wonder life was peaceful. Engaging on the front lines are only those willing to take the arrows. It's not an easy stance, but when the battle is won, these front liners will be given Father's glorious blessing, a crown of life.  No free crowns  Len Ravenhill  God's book of remembrance  Len Ravenhill
Romans 8:18, "For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us." Not worthy brethren! Will you enter eternity with regrets or in ecstatic joy as all the people you led to Christ surround you in heaven with hugs? What a day that will be!

Brother if you know in your heart that you still need a fire lit under you, then please watch this video "23 Minutes in Hell" the true story of Pastor Bill Wiese's experience in hell. After viewing his story, you'll fully believe he witnessed hell!

Sounds from hell. I'm not certain that this is real, but I image it is a chilling likeness.

After hearing their screams, the eternal wailing, smelling the sulfur, feeling the heat and sensing the terrors of  hell, tell me that you still can't dedicate yourself to the gospel to save blinded children, WHICH YOU ONCE WERE.
